Running Linux on Sat-navs

There is a nice, open source community project dedicated to running a distribution of linux on TomTom satnavs. That project is called OpenTom.

The downloads below have been pre-compiled by me, for you to easily copy to an SD card to use the software.

Both versions of the software are installed in the same way.

Differences between 'Basic' build and 'Extra' build

The basic build only contains the operating system and the graphical user interface, and the drivers. NO EXTRA SOFTWARE IS INCLUDED.

The extra build includes all from the basic build, in addition to extra software, like a web browser, media player, a large selection of games, and Bluetooth Networking capabilities.
